Louisburg Baptist Church is proud to present North Carolina native and top selling Southern Gospel recording artist, Ernie Rushing, in concert . A resident of Fayetteville, Rushing is promoting his second recording ,The End of the Beginning , and starting production on his third release under the Foxhall Music recording label.
With the release of “The End of the Beginning” in 2007, continued brisk sales and widespread appeal of Ernie’s music endure. Even by January of 2010, one track from the release, “The Anchor Holds,” still ranked in the Top Ten downloads from Wal-Mart’s Southern Gospel downloads, and Ernie was ranked as one of the Top 25 Southern Gospel artists on the site (http://mp3.walmart.com).
Ernie’s career provides him the opportunity to spread the Word of God everywhere he goes. He has shared his gifts with American audiences as well as thousands in the United Kingdom, performing in such ancient venues as Salisbury Cathedral in England and St. Paul’s Cathedral in Wales. In April of 2004, Ernie was asked to open for Hall of Fame recording star Sandy Patti.
Ernie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where he graduated with honors, and a Master of Business Administration from Methodist University. He is currently the Assistant Director of Admissions at Methodist University, and is the Minister of Music at Crabtree Valley Baptist Church in Raleigh, North Carolina.
